Every line is drawn as text through pdf-lib, never rasterised into an image, so the file has a real text layer, select a paragraph in any reader and it highlights word by word rather than as a block. That is the thing that decides whether a parser can read your CV at all: a résumé exported as a picture of a page arrives at the other end as an empty record with your name missing. There is no template graphic and no text trapped inside an image anywhere in the output.

No. It is laid out and saved in this tab, which is worth something given the form holds your phone number alongside every employer you have had. The cost is that there is no draft to come back to, close the tab and the fields are empty again, so keep the PDF you download.

The two templates use the standard Times and Helvetica families, which reach Latin-1. Accented Western European letters such as é, ñ, ü and ø print correctly. Emoji and any Greek, Cyrillic, Hebrew or CJK character is removed outright rather than drawn as a box, which matters most in a name, open the downloaded file and check yours if it uses them.
