How it works

Image Resizer: Resize by Pixels or by Percentage

Resize JPG, PNG or WebP by exact pixels or by 1% to 1000%. Downscales in halving steps, and leaves images that are already smaller alone.

What this does
  • Target a width, a height, both as a bounding box, or a percentage from 1% to 1000%
  • Six presets: 1920 × 1080, 1280 × 720, 1080 × 1080, 800 × 600, 512 × 512 and 150 × 150
  • Repeated halving before the final draw, which keeps edges from going gritty on a big reduction
  • Before-and-after dimensions and file size per image, with thumbnails for the first eight
FAQ

With the aspect lock on they are read as a bounding box: the image is scaled by whichever of the two ratios is smaller, so it fits inside them and one side usually lands short of the number you typed. Nothing is distorted. Turn the lock off and the image is stretched to exactly that width and height, whatever it does to the proportions. Fill one field and leave the other empty and the missing side follows the original.
