How it works

N-up PDF: Print 2, 4, 6 or 9 Pages Per Sheet

Lays 2, 4, 6 or 9 pages on each sheet with a 20 pt margin and a 10 pt gutter, imposed as vector content in this tab so no request carries the file.

What this does
  • 2, 4, 6 or 9 source pages per sheet, filling left to right and top to bottom
  • A4, Letter, or the trimmed size of the first page in the file
  • Best fit picks whichever sheet orientation wastes less paper
  • An optional 0.5 pt hairline drawn around each placed page

Each page is scaled to fit its cell and the summary reports the smallest scale used. On A4 the sheet keeps a 20 pt margin with 10 pt between cells, so an A4 source lands near 46% at 4-up and near 30% at 9-up. Body text set at 11 pt reads at roughly 5 pt once it is 4-up: fine in print, tight on screen. Use 2-up for anything you actually intend to read.
