How it works

Extract PDF Pages: Any Range Into a New File

Type 1-3, 7, 12-14 and get exactly those pages as a new PDF. pdf-lib copies them inside this tab, so the document never reaches a server.

What this does
  • Type the ranges, or click the pages in a grid, shown for documents up to 300 pages
  • 5- means page 5 to the end, and en or em dashes are read as hyphens
  • Out-of-range and unreadable entries are flagged in place rather than rejected
  • Turn off Sort & de-duplicate and 9-5 comes out reversed, 3, 3 copies a page twice
  • Encrypted files are refused up front instead of producing a broken result
FAQ

Separate entries with commas, semicolons or newlines and use a hyphen for a run: 1-3, 7, 12-14 keeps six pages. Spaces are ignored, 5- (or 5-end) means page 5 to the last page, and a number past the end of the document is trimmed back with a note rather than silently dropped. With “Sort & de-duplicate” on, which is the default, the result comes out ordered and each page appears once. Turn it off and the order you typed is the order you get, so 9-5 gives you those five pages in reverse and repeating a number copies that page twice.
