FAQ

Because the second coupon comes off the reduced price, not the original. On a $100 item, 25% off leaves $75, and 10% of $75 is $7.50, so you pay $67.50 rather than $65. The effective discount is 32.5%, which is what the readout shows, and the gap between that and the two rates added together widens as the rates get bigger.
